Narrative stylistics, especially for narrative analysis of a poem which is not used merely to narrate or write a story, will be an efficient instrument for the critics helping them to reduce considerably their personal involvement in criticism. In this paper we have studied the poem of Mahdi Akhavan Salles from the view point of semiology; then we have analyzed its narrative structure based on the quality and quantity of the applied signs and codes. We chose Akhavan Salles for narrative critic because he has been an influent poet and story teller. The findings show that he has applied symbolism to express his intents perfectly and despite of his contemporaries, he used symbolism not in meaning but in form. He has narrated in the best way and used images and space making successions as two narrative techniques. Wherever he added the description to the narration he has used appropriately two kinds of description, i.e. dynamic and static ones. All these factors have led to survival of his poems in minds of the readers after many years. There are some traces of romanticism and realism in Akhavan's poems; however, the obvious and excellent aspect of his narration lies in his perfect and highly social symbolism.
